Your phone may show security warnings — this is normal for apps installed outside Google Play. Follow these steps for a smooth setup.

Why does my phone show a risk warning?

  • • VidFree is not on Google Play yet — you install via direct APK download.
  • • Android scans all "unknown source" apps and shows a generic safety alert.
  • • Camera / storage permissions trigger system prompts — used only for importing or recording video locally.
  • • If accessibility is requested, Android warns because it is a sensitive system permission — enable VidFree safely as shown below.

All videos are processed locally. We do not upload your personal media to the cloud.

Part A — Turn off Play Protect scan (recommended)

This reduces "harmful app" false alarms during installation.

Camera & Gallery access
